Kernel-panic after upgrade

Hi, After updating my freshly upgraded pc (laptop btw), I have 2 fc13 kernels installed: 2.6.33.3-85.fc13 and 2.6.33.5-124.fc13. Problem is that when I boot the 2.6.33.5-124.fc13 kernel, I'm getting a kernel panic. The other kernel boots fine. Searched the forum for something similar, but couldn't find anything. What could be problem?

Unless you post more information about the kernel panic, it will be difficult to help you. Additionally, some information about your hardware could help to diagnose the problem.

Ok, full message:

Kernel panic - not syncing : VFS : Unable to mount root fs on unknown-block(0,0)

Just found another post about this problem and it seems to have the same cause: an interrupted installation of a kernel. I've tried to "rpm -e" the new kernel, but it meets with this message:

And I'm very hesitant about removing these dependencies. Any advise?
