Attempting to free an invalid pointer during clean up is kinda humorous.

I'm thinking the glibc update is problematic. I got the same glibc invalid pointer error in boot.log and messages for the PC/SC smart card daemon (pcscd). I'm going to try downgrading it.

Nope, it's not glibc. The problem is pcsc-lite. There's a new build on koji to fix the crash in the one on the repos. Sounds just like Rawhide!

Re: Unusual error during yum Cleanup

Thanks dd
I installed pcsc-lite-1.6.1-4.fc14.i686.rpm and pcsc-lite-libs-1.6.1-4.fc14.i686.rpm from koji before I did the update and had no problems. Now, if you only had a fix for the blister i got on my thumb from a very hot fireworks fuse, I'd be set.
