VLC ad watch out

Hello,
Today I saw there was a new version of VLC here, in the advertisment bar
It has a Malware ( mybabylon english toolbar ) hidden within it
I was able to remove it from IE, but having a hard time getting it out of Firefox.

Re: VLC ad watch out

What does this have to do with Fedora?

I assume you downloaded VLC from their website at http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ and not just some random popup or advertising link, right? You should probably report that to them.

that really would be some news, the folks over t vlc take that malware, spyware, virus stuff very seriously.

Re: VLC ad watch out

I agree this is not a fedora problem, it was just a FYI for everyone.
When I clicked on the advertisement it just was a direct download , not sure where it got it from.

I am thinking VLC had not doing with it, just a bad group using there product to get someone, like me

Re: VLC ad watch out

If I understand you, one of the forum ads had malware in the ad? If so, you should PM one of the admins.
