bzImage vmliuz initrd in boot dir deleted will upgrading help save data.

I ended up deleting bzImage vmliuz initrd in boot dir . will upgrading Fedora 9 to Fedora 10 save my data .Can this save my important data ?
Also will have to download this from the net . do I need any specific Fedora , will any version above 9 help .

If you want to backup your important data a good way to do that is to download a live cd image and burn that to a cd. Then you can boot off of the cd to copy your data. Here is an example of live cd image from an archive (i686 version) for fedora 9:
