Unhappy Fedora 13 installation- Anaconda does not list third hard disk

Hello Everyone,

I have a PC with 3 Hard disks. 2 Disks are SATA and the remaining 1 is ATA. During the installation of Fedora 13 Anaconda does not list the ATA Hard disk. Only the SATA Disks are listed. If Fedora 13 does not recognize the third hard disk then I cannot use the Fedora 13 Grub and the other ATA hard disk will be rendered useless.

Is this usual? Please Help.

P.S The BIOS shows all three hard disk. MS Windows also shows all the three hard disks.

Thanks in advance

That drive might have old raid metadata on it. You can use the dmraid command to erase the metadata, or press the tab key early when booting your install media and add the "nodmraid" keyword to the kernel command line.

Re: Fedora 13 installation- Anaconda does not list third hard disk

HI JEO

I tried what you told me but still does Anaconda does not list the third hard disk. It shows only sda, sdb. Sometime back I did not have this problem.

Any other suggestions which I could work upon?

Thank you

Hi JEO,

Problem Solved. I changed the jumper settings to master on the third HDD and now Anaconda is listing it.

Thank you
