Adobe flash crash and conflict

That's a mouthful.

I'm running on an i686 architecture with a 32-bit processor, and I'm using a fully updated Firefox, more or less. I was able to install Adobe Flash 10 successfully, and I can load, manipulate, and access flash programs without incident. However, if I am running a flash program on one tab, and then in another tab I load another program (say an advertisement), the original program crashes.

Why this is annoying:

I will listen to a song on YouTube, and open another tab to browse. A flash advertisement will crash the YouTube video. The video's viewing area turns white/gray and requires a refresh of the page - not a restart of the browser - to work properly. The only add-ons I installed are Firebug and FireFTP.

Apologies if this has already been answered. A quick search revealed a lot of problems when installing, and not exactly running, Adobe Flash.

Any ideas?

Re: Adobe flash crash and conflict

Hello
what sort of system are you running ? by that I mean cpu and ram, flash is a serious cpu hog my laptop is running at near 100% whenever I'm watching a flash vid, maybe your system just can't cope with two instances at the same time, my solution would be to install no-script firefox addon (to stop the flash ads) and use greasemonkey/youtube without flash for youtube http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=249822

Re: Adobe flash crash and conflict

Thanks for responding. After I posted, I installed that no-ad add-on, and have had no problems since.

yet.

incidentally my PC's bad, a 3.2ghz Prescott and 512 RAM, but I assume that if the problem is hardware, and unrelated to Fedora, then I should experience similar behavior on XP, which I don't.
