Voip?

Can you setup a linux server to handle voip like you would a cisco router? I searched the forum but i didnt really find anything. I was considering to use voip in my home since the telephone company has cheaper rates for that. However, i dont want to buy a cisco router if i dont have to ya know?

I've used the included GnomeMeeting application and the various services offered by OpenH323 have come a long way. As far as traffic shaping and network specific routing, I'd be surprised if there was something in the Cisco box that you couldn't do with Linux.
