Can't Install - System Rebooting

Hi , I was wondering if someone could help me out.
I'm trying to install FC2 however no matter what option I use text , noprobe , nofb , skipddc , I just cant seem to get to the installation screen , my computer just reboots all the time once I hit enter. I'm booting from the CD ,the installation is for an i386 and I have an Intel P4 2.0Ghz machine.

I have WinXP on one Partition and RH9 on the other,I was planning to install over RH9.

Any ideas what's going on ?

Try using acpi=off next time, Ive heard this causes a problem.

thanks for the reply , what is acpi and where does one access it . BIOS I assume ? I'll have a look when I get home .

what type of video card and ram do you have installed....?
