Getting rid of blue graphic boot screen with the 'sticker' in the middle

What has to be done to turn off the blue screen with the white 'sticker' in the middle during boot time?

Open /boot/grub/grub.conf and remove the rhgb parameter from each kernel command line. That blue screen is the Plymouth graphic. It hides the classic scrolling lines of init stuff during booting.

Next question is how is it possible to boot kernel in the same video mode as the text 'hidden' under the Plymouth screen? On my system it's something like 200x70 (not exact numbers).
vga=ask etc. trick does not seem to work anymore even with linux16/initrd16
