Question Error Message on install

Ok just having to do a fresh install and get the following message to close after setting up
partitions and on clicking write to disk

Failed to mount "524M Volume"

Method "Mount" with signature "ssas" on interface
"org.freedesktop.Hal.Device.Volume" doesn't exist.

Only option under message is close button.

I'm using Fedora 14 xfce 32bit live CD

The install seems to carry on normally until done but then
when I check the partitions I've setup I seem to only have
the origonal uneditted default partitions.

Any help appreciated

Thank you

Re: Error Message on install

That sounds like an old HAL bug, but it shouldn't be affecting F14. Not sure of the size of the xfce ISO, but the 524M volume sounds like the LiveCD.

When you say you are checking the partitions you set up, is this also during installation?

Re: Error Message on install

Yes it's a live CD and the error message appears after editing the partitions and accepting the message Write to Disk I close the message and installation carries on to the end But when I check the Hard disk setup in GParted it shows that my Partition edits are gone and the Hard drive is partitioned as default sizes Boot Swap and Home.

Planning to try to use the DVD Iso of Fedora 14 xfce see if that solves my problem but thanks for the suggestions Seems like my live CD of F14 may have resurrected the HAL Bug lol
