window display messed up when dragging left (gnome ui)

Hello, Everyone.
Fedora n00b here. I have a bit of a problem w/ the windowing UI when I drag any window left, the display gets messed up (see attached screen shot). It doesn't matter what the program is, even happens in explorer. I've done some searching of the Internetz and this form and all I could find was this bug, that doesn't have any updates on it:

https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=652590

Unlike the person reporting this, I'm not remoting into anything, just using my local machine.

Does anyone know of a fix for this? I can make the lines go away by triggoring a repaint (by either dragging another window on top of this one or minimizing and maximizing the problem window, but it's still a bit annoying.

I'm running Fedora 14 and have ran all of the updates it prompted me to run.

Thanks!

Re: window display messed up when dragging left (gnome ui)

This could possibly a refresh problem. Screens repaint left to right. I would suggest looking into the display properties. You will need to find the supported rates for your display before making changes to you system though. I had this problem a long time ago on a Redhat machine. I believe it was version 5. I had to replace the video drivers to match what the display supported and add into the xorg file the required screen resolution and frequency to fix it.

So get ready to start googling for the info that you're going to need to fix the problem.

Also I report this problem on the bug report you found. They may already be working on a fix or it's in the queue waiting for assignment.
