Re: phpmyadmin issue on FC12

Ok, you should also have a file, which is used by Apache to configure phpMyAdmin:
Code:
[giulix@localhost ~]$ ll /etc/httpd/conf.d/phpMyAdmin.conf
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 1182 Jan 3 23:07 /etc/httpd/conf.d/phpMyAdmin.conf
If you get the same output, then I'm stuck. The only advice I can give at this point is to uninstall httpd and phpMyAdmin and try a fresh install...

Re: phpmyadmin issue on FC12

Sorry for the late reply. phpmyadmin works fine on Fedora 14.

# yum install mysql mysql-server php phpmyadmin -y
# chkconfig mysqld on
# chkconfig httpd on
# service mysqld start
# service httpd start
# mysqladmin -u root password pass1234

http://localhost/phpmyadmin/

Re: phpmyadmin issue on FC12

in previous version the password of root is blank but in the new version you have to enter root password for login and this password must be not black
for this your must set password for root from terminal and with "mysqladmin" command
please follow this guide to change mysql password:
http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/mysql-c...root-password/

mahdi_ja: The yum install for mysql & mysqlserver leaves the root password blank. I changed it for the recent post.
