Re: F15 crashed after May 6 update, please HELP!
Just had the same issue. Fixed it by removing kmod-nvidia packages (I removed the two I had). Removing xorg.conf was only needed to get the system to boot in fall-back mode. The same xorg.conf is working fine again now.
Must be a bug with the akmod nvidia drivers or a conflict with version numbers as listed above.
