Chrome Crashes on Opening

Running 14-64 and suddenly Chrome crashes on opening every time. No messages, just shuts down before home page opens.

Have not found any recent threads on the problem, is anyone else having the issue or able to suggest a solution.

Re: Chrome Crashes on Opening

It is beta software after all ....

Seriously:

Try opening it from a terminal if you haven't already and see what if any output shows up.

google-chrome

If nothing shows, then see if you can disable your extensions and try again.

google-chrome --incognito

Also run

google-chrome --help

and I believe it will provide you with the location of your config file(s), which, if all else fails, try renaming when chrome is shut down and then restart with a fresh config.

Re: Chrome Crashes on Opening

Thanks for the reply and suggestions.

FWIW: 1st result:
google-chrome
[0508/170911:ERROR:nss_util.cc(51)] Failed to create ~/.pki/nssdb directory.
Segmentation fault (core dumped)

Googled the result and found several references to same output but no solution.

Plan B: Renamed config files and restarted. Appears to be working fine.
