Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
Actually Ubuntu 11.10 is due out tomorrow (Wed, the 13th) *if* the counters I see are running correctly. There is another countdown not from Ubuntu officially going on, and they are trying to be mysterious to what they are countdowning for but it doesn't match when 11.10 is coming out.

Anyway, do I need to send any bugs off to Fedora? I've clocked a few.

Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
Yes, I would say that just about every bug should be reported at this stage in the Fedora release cycle. It's coming up to the final countdown for the bugs to get fixed in time for the final release.
What I try to do is to make sure it actually is a bug in Fedora and not just something squirrelly in how I have things installed or configured before reporting it, though.

Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
Yeah, I installed it last night.
Overall, it isn't bad, but I have to laugh because each misstep by Ubuntu leads me one step closer to Fedora (and vice verse). So the wireless not installing even through the usual means, I get more hopeful for Fedora's release.
Distro ping-pong!

Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
Wireless is really crappy on my Laptop in Fedora (Haven't tried Ubuntu) I just have a Ethernet Cable to a wireless bridge. Windows it works fine, and in HP QuickWeb (Which I'm sure is Linux based).

Might need more of a description than "crappy" Ubuntu 11.04 and 10.11 never worked with my MSI laptop, using DHCP. FC16 works fine.
Not knowing what the issue is (so this may be useless), have you tried manually setting the IP settings?
EDIT: Oh and splashtopOS is linux based.

Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
I get very weak signal, in Windows it's fine I think. Signal should be fine since when I use Ethernet it goes to the same wireless router it would have used had I used the laptop's wifi.
I am pretty sure I get an IP, it works just really slow.

Re: Fedora16 Release Schedule
Just a quick question since I don't understand the schedule and wikipedia won't tell me anything.
When is Fedora 16 to be released (go from beta to finnished)? Also has there been many problems with Fedora 16?

Or if you look on the bottom, the Fedora 16 Final Release is currently scheduled for 2011-11-08 (after pushing it back twice).
