GCC new version not detected after installation.

Hi All, I am new to FedoraForum. I have a issue with GCC new version, I downloaded GCC 4.4.6 source code and installed like this.

1. ./configure
2. make
3. make install

it went successfully without errors, but when I type
Code:
cc --version
it shows 4.4.4 (initial version).

How to solve this ?

My System is Fedora 12 X86_64
4.0 : GB RAM
Processor : Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300

Thank You.
