Fedora 15 - boot hang

I'm currently having some issues booting Fedora 15 from my external Hd (usb 2.0). It boots up with the fedora "f" about half way then hangs and pulls me to a black screen that says "sh: can't acess tty: job control tunned off"

I did some research and what some say is that it's fedora not recognizing where the install is, but i've got no clue how to fix this (this being my first install).

Any help would be appreciated; thanks.
