Re: high temp with nouveau driver and nvidia 8700M GT

The nouveau driver is a reversed engineered attempt at providing support for nvidia products. Unfortunately at this moment in time it does not support nvidia products to the same level of perfection as nvidia's own driver and does not support all nvidia hardware.

I strongly suggest using nvidia drivers but since you are using a mobile product this may not be possible since as often is the case mobile products are only supported by vendor supplied drivers.

Thank for your response.

The 8700M GT of my mobile Toshiba is supported by the nvidia's drivers, but in rawhide, kernel is debugging marked, and this drivers don't work.. (it's the normal way for debugging kernel ).
