Using another directory instead of /var/www/html

    Hi

    I'm using Fedora Core 3
I've started httpd, I've opened a web browser pointing to my server and the default Apache page was shown.
Then I've copied my web into /var/www/html directory, and I've restarted httpd
When I went to my browser and I've refreshed I saw my web
Until that moment every was OK, but
I don't want to use the default repositoy, instead I wanted to use /srv/www
I've created the folder structure, I've copied my files and I've changed the httpd.conf pointing to /srv/www
I've restarted the httpd server but I had and error saying that the repository has to be a folder???????
It is a folder, why is saying that is not a folder?
/srv/www is just another folder and is not under and NFS partition or anything like that

I'm not at home to copy the exact error, but I will post it later

Anyway, if somebody can gine a hint of what can I check

    Thanks

    Thanks Ilha
I've check with / at the end and without it
I've tried using link but didn't work
I've tried to link the index.html and works only to that file. I have to create a link for each file and I have 7300 files, so that is not a solution

I've tried to link the whole folder html but when I restar the httpd service it says that the documentRoot has to be a directory

I will try later using a Virtual Host
But that is Ok as a workarround anyway and not as a solution

Do a google on the error. This is a selinux problem. The rpm that sets permissions or security has a bug. I downloaded selinux-policy-targeted-1.17.30-2.20.noarch.rpm
and it fixed my problem. I can't give you a hint on where to find it, but you can try this one to see if it works

    ftp://rpmfind.net/linux/fedora/core/...2-1.noarch.rpm

    Thanks again
    I found a newer version (selinux-policy-targeted-sources-1.18.2-3.noarch.rpm)
This site is good if you are looking for RPMs
    http://rpm.pbone.net

I will check witch version I have now

    I will try that today
    Thanks

nuker, why dont you just make up a virtual server. once you add a virtual it kills access to the default page and requests will be forwarded to your virtual.
