This was a very default installation of Fedora 13 on a laptop.. All partitioning was default. I have LVM for its home, root and swap partitions..
I was working on shrinking an LVM partition as documented in
http://fedoraunity.org/Members/zcat/...-new-partition
However, before I resized the actual partition /dev/sda2 to its new size, I stopped and decided to reboot to make a backup. The system could not boot, with an error message saying no boot media was found. I assume removing the swap and re-creating at the same size it did something to it..
PS: Currently booted the system from a live USB fedora image, and making a backup.. All LVM partitions are accessible, so no damage was done to them.
What I can do to get the system to boot again?
Thanks, -t
SOLVED: It turns out I had named the new swap partition slightly different.. I just re-created the swap and the machine came right up.
