vlc in gnome-shell-extensions mediasplayer

I LOVE Gnome3. The Shell is awesome and more powerful than EVER!! I've been trying to inset and add vlc to gnome-shell-mediasplayer extension!!!! Anyone have any suggestions or figured it out already??
