chromium adblock crashing

Anyone noticing something like this happening?

http://code.google.com/p/chromium/is...etail?id=93594

Seeing it in Chromium in both F14 and F15 (KDE spins in both cases). I've also got Google Chrome installed in both Fedora versions, but Adblock isn't crashing in Chrome. In F15 I installed Chrome from the Google site.

I get a box popping up that says, "AdBlock has crashed. Click this balloon to reload the extension." Tried clicking the balloon to reload the extension, but that doesn't help. Tried uninstalling Adblock and then re-installing it, but that didn't help, either.

In F15, the versions here:

Chromium: 13.0.782.112 (Developer Build 0 Linux) Built from source for Fedora release 15 (Lovelock)

Google Chrome: 13.0.782.215

Re: chromium adblock crashing

I'm using Google Chrome directly from Google and I don't see any problems at all. (15.0.861.0 dev)

I have used Spot's packages sometime ago, maybe Fedora 13 era? They are built to use Fedora packages when ever possible, I would try the Google build matching your version number and see if the problem continues, if not you need to report it to spot.

Re: chromium adblock crashing

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, no problems in Google Chrome in either F14 or F15, so I'll keep using that and maybe see if the issue gets fixed in Chromium.

In F14, I have:

google-chrome-stable 13.0.782.215-97094

chromium 13.0.782.112-1.fc14

Probably a stupid question, but I have to ask: How can I report this to "Spot"?

Re: chromium adblock crashing

Yes, that problem has been going on with Adblock. What exasperates it is if Chrom(e|ium|eOS) is being synchronized.

It took having to remove it from each system before and after sync until it no longer auto-syncronizes it back onto the system you just removed it from.

It would lock/freeze my entire computer until it is done crashing, which was a pain, but even worse it would lock up my Chromebook completely and took some flanageling to get it fixed.

I am hesitant to try adding it back in and see if it were the Adblock Plus version, the Chrome version or what.

This only happened on my ChromeOS and Fedora. I don't remember it effecting Ubuntu (10.04.. so it may be an older version of Chromium) or Windows.

Re: chromium adblock crashing

Is there a fix for this yet? It's still crashing on my Chromium 13.0.782.215.
