I have a Dell Latitude e6520. When I first tried to install Fedora 15 from the live cd, I would get the following messages on the screen as it tried to boot:
[0.718601] pnp 00:0c: can't evaluate _CRS:12311
[3.190262] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1a.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f273b060/fffff060(bad dma)
[3.563725] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f268a060/fffff060(bad dma)
[3.737500] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1a.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f273b180/fffff180(bad dma)
[3.791452] ata1.01: failed to resume link (SControl 0)
[3.915249] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1a.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f273b240/fffff240(bad dma)
[4.435452] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f268a180/fffff180(bad dma)
[4.674887] ehci_hcd 0000:00:1d.0: dma_pool_free ehci_qh, f268a240/fffff240(bad dma)
It would then bring up the initial screen saying it would boot in 10 second, it would try to boot & soon fail. I don't remember the error. I created a live usb stick & installed from that. It installed fine but it still give the above messages before it boots & then continues on, but the dvd-rom is not accessible.
I tried booting with the kernel parameter libata.dma=1, but it either didn't help, or I am doing that wrong.
Any suggestions? Thanks
