Adding A Hard Drive With Data

I had a problem with my fedora installation when I tried to upgrade to Fedora Core 3. So I Put in a new hard drive and did a clean install. Now though I want to pull some of the data off of my old drive. I have the drive phsically installed but I can't seem to find out what to do. I do not want to lose any of the data on it.
It is installed as a secondary drive.

is your old hard drive IDE or SATA?? if IDE is it primary or secondary, master or slave?? you can see the physical location of your drives by looking at the file:
/etc/sysconfig/hwconf

then you need to mount the old drive. create a directory to mount to like:
mkdir /oldhd

then mount the drive by:
mount /dev/hd## /oldhd

where hd## will be different depending on the physical location of your drive. hda for primary master, hdb for primary slave, hdc for secondary master, etc. then you need a number designation for the partition on that drive. so /dev/hda2 would be the primary master drive partition 2
