URLs for yum repo files

Greetings All,

I'm currently running fc10 and I am in the process of configuring yum repo files with URLs that point to archived fc10 stuff. I have an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU P8400 processor and I get the following output from the "uname -a" command:

Linux 2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i686.PAE #1 SMP
Tue Nov 18 12:08:10 EST 2008 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

My question is this:
Should I choose a URL to specify in the yum repo files whose path includes an "i686" or an "i386" reference?

Load this in your web browser:

http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub...10/Everything/

and you'll see how it's organized for Fedora 10

the arch label is "i386" in that directory, so you'd make the baserurl in fedora.repo:

baseurl=http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/releases/$releasever/Everything/$basearch/os/

But it's a non-issue anyway, the $basearch variable in your fedora is set to the right thing, so you don't literally put the string i386 in your baseurl but $basearch

And this in your fedora-updates.repo file:

baseurl=http://archive.fedoraproject.org/pub/archive/fedora/linux/updates/$releasever/$basearch/
