smoothly dim screen after inactivity

Hello,

I have no idea how to set up smoothly dim the laptop screen ( slowly darken), I tried changing values in dpms, but it only changes the timeout of lock screen..



and how can I configure the slowly darken screen until it is completely dark like is used in ubuntu..
