Fedora 16 Fallback Mode comes up but no menus

Good Evening everyone,

I was trying to get 3d acceleration working on my desktop and was able to do so thanks to the thread that Leigh123 maintains in the Guides section of fedoraforums.org. My problem began when I started using nvidia-settings to try and get dual monitors to work. I guess from my reading, you cannot get dual monitors to work properly with gnome 3 at this time???

So anyways, i did not know this and did a reboot after i modified some nvidia settings and then gnome 3 was in fallback mode. so i tried to fix the problem and reboot, and this final time i still have gnome 3 fallback mode but no application/places/etc menus on the top of the screen. So basically i can log into gnome, and see two monitors with my wallpaper being displayed but I am stuck.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated at this point. Thank you.
