Need help in installing Fedora 16 on HCL NOTEBOOK V20 AMD

Greetings every one!

I am new to Linux and would like to give it a try with Fedora 16.

I have read through the installation guide and followed all the steps but cant get Fedora working on my laptop.

This is HCL Notebook V20 AMD turion 64x2 having Nvidia graphics card.
I have tried both 32 bit (i386) and 64 bit version of Fedora but i cant get even the live CD working.
- I have verified that the CD is correct as i was able to boot other PC from the same Bootable CD
- I also tried booting from USB but it stucks immediately after the first screen (install Fedora16)
- i believe the hardware is the issue. need advice on how to proceed with installation
