Re: dual boot 7 and fedora
Choose install to hard drive when logged in. Then it will ask you which partition you want it in. You should still see the windows partition in the list of partitions before you confirm the formatting of the to be linux partitions.

Installation of Fedora 15 and 16 are very similar. What options do you have problem?
By the way you can google it for fedora 16 too.

Re: dual boot 7 and fedora
You need free space on your HDD.(Min of 10GB disk space / storage for installation) If now you don't have any free space you have to delete or shrink of the partition.
I think your E: suitable for shrink because its a biggest one but its totally up to you which partition you want to shrink and how much storage you want left for fedora.
How to shrink in Windows 7: http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windo...windows-vista/
Or you can use http://www.partition-tool.com/easeus...-partition.htm

Re: dual boot 7 and fedora
i freed 30gb from E: thats know showing unallocated.
when i'm booting and following steps for fedora
Quote:
In Please Select A Device, highlight the Free space (check the Size) you created for Fedora on the correct hard disk, and click the Create button (sda=1st disk, sdb=2nd, sdc=3rd).
In Create Storage, select Standard Partition, and click Create.
A new window will open. First create the Linux EXT4 partition.
In Mount Point:, select / (a forward slash).
In File System Type:, select ext4
In Allowable Drives, all drives can be enabled
In Size (MB):, enter all available space (for Fedora) except 2 GB (for the Swap File)
Leave Fixed size checked.
Click the OK button.
|
in this step when i'm pressing ok i am getting error saying not enough space on disk.

Re: dual boot 7 and fedora
Why you are not allow Fedora to auto make partitions, Its more easy only at "Which type of installation would you like?" step choice "Use free space" But you have to delete all partitions you made at your 30Gb.
But if you want to do it manually here the Recommended Partitioning Scheme from fedora.
