How do I install Mesa 8.0.1 for testing in F16?

Hi,

I've been asked to install Mesa 8.0.1 for testing a bug. I'm using Fedora 16. How can I install this with the minimum amount of disruption and then uninstall it?

Answer: Install Fedora 17 Alpha on a spare partition.
