Cedarview graphics controller / gnome 3

I've recently installed F16 on an Acer Aspire One D270 netbook, which has the Intel Cedarview graphics controller. Gnome 3 doesn't like it and goes into fallback mode, which is workable, but is a bit irritating after several months of using Gnome 3.

I believe this is due to limited support in the Intel xorg driver. Does anyone know when this is likely to change and can anyone suggest a workaround?

Re: Cedarview graphics controller / gnome 3

I have a EeePC 1025C with the same graphic controller. I run F17 and I've noticed gnome-shell uses the CPU quite a lot. I guess the lack of support for cedarview controller is the explanation.

Also, videos are pretty slow, for the sam reasons I guess.

Looking forward for a solution.
