Run it in background by adding an ampersand (&) after the command
Or if it is already running in your terminal, <Ctrl><Z> stops it and then command "bg" starts the stopped process in background. Or just start a new terminal - if you have the menu bar visible on your terminal window, select "File / Open Terminal". And if you don't right-click on the ternimal and selcet "Show Menubar" from the pop-up menu...
