Gwibber stopped working all of a sudden

Seriously, it just up and broke. The text entry field is all grayed out. One second it wasn't like that, the next it was.

I'm not sure what caused it or how to fix it. Any suggestions?

I'm on Fedora 16.

Same thing to me... I can't find any solution...

I've already tried uninstalling and installing again, removing and re-adding my account and nothing worked out.

Rgds..

Exclamation Re: Gwibber stopped working all of a sudden

Ok so the problem for me is that Qwibber starts fine the notifications pop up a few.. and then thats it.. it stops updating new tweets and or facebook notifications..

I have to restart in order for it to work again.. and then it goes dead again..

all menu options on qwibber are functional.

just no new notifications..

looking forward to hearing about solutions..

Re: Gwibber stopped working all of a sudden

Gwibber has been a major pain over the last 2 years. I don't think it is on the top-of-the-list of importance. However, sure would be nice if someone would step in help with it's development and maintenance.

I forgot to mention this is happening on a 3 day old "Beefy Miracle install..

So I was wondering what does the collective wisdom of the forum suggest as a resonable facsimile to my malfunctioning friend QWIBBER..

I need something that will let me configure my twitter account and maybe others and get notifications to pop up as they come in.

Thats it!

Thanks in advance to everyone

Great one Wayne!

appreciate the tip.. I just installed Turpial from Venezuela.. and its working pretty good so far notifications are adjustable and loads of other neat settings.. didnt like the little bird chirpping everytime a new tweet came in but its working so far so good!

YAY!

need to see next if i can get the facebook and perhaps other services included to run all at the same time..

If anyone wants to share that tip would be great if not just standby and ill post once ive found how.. or not..

All the best to everyone!

I'm happy with Turpial so far..
