phpMyAdmin on FC16

I installed phpMyAdmin on Fedora 16 by doing:

yum -y install phpMyAdmin php-mysql php-mcrypt

I also made sure to edit the phpMyAdmin.conf and allow 127.0.0.1 10.0.0.0/24 and restarted httpd.service

For some reason I can not access phpMyAdmin by using:

http://localhost/phpMyAdmin

or

https://localhost/phpMyAdmin

although http://localhost/ displays my test page just fine. Does anyone know more about this type of problem?

I found this in error_log:

Code:

[root@sepserver ~]# systemctl status
Too few arguments.
[root@sepserver ~]# cd /var/log
[root@sepserver log]# ls -la

Re: phpMyAdmin on FC16

Are you sure you edited the configuration right?
It should just work without changing anything.

You can check your configuration with this command:

Code:
httpd -t

Re: phpMyAdmin on FC16

Yes but it does not:

Code:
[root@newfc16 sysconfig]# httpd -t
httpd: Could not reliably determine the server's fully qualified domain name, using 50.57.224.230 for ServerName
Syntax OK
[root@newfc16 sysconfig]#
When I go to:

http://50.57.224.230/phpmyadmin

I get this:

Code:
Forbidden

You don't have permission to access /phpmyadmin on this server.

Apache/2.2.22 (Fedora) Server at 50.57.224.230 Port 80

I am thinking of disabling SELINUX to see if that will help out.

OK. Nevermind SELinux is already disabled on my server.

Re: phpMyAdmin on FC16

Editing /etc/httpd/conf.d/phpMyAdmin.conf solved my access problem. I wasn't connecting with 127.0.0.1 either.
