fedora xcfe sound question

How do i setup skype with sound in fedora xcfe?

It should "just work", though you might need to check "pavucontrol" to see if it's using the inputs and outputs you want it to.

I can't get the mic to work to rec my voice mail.

Double check to see if it's muted in alsamixer, that can sometimes happen...and triple check the inputs... For me, F16 defaulted to using the mic input in the back, not the one in front. easy way to check is by plugging in the mic to different inputs. And double check skype, make certain it's using pulseaudio. I use XFCE myself and just tested skype to make sure something didn't bork it up and it's working fine.

I am use fedora 15 and i check all i can but the mic is not muted.it build into my dell laptop.
