Just the generic one here:
Code:
# .bash_profile

# Get the aliases and functions
if [ -f ~/.bashrc ]; then
        . ~/.bashrc
fi

# User specific environment and startup programs

PATH=$PATH:$HOME/bin

export PATH
unset USERNAME
Not sure how useful it will be to you though.

GCC should already be the "default" (only) compiler. Open up a terminal and type "cc --version" - you should see something like this:
Code:
$ cc --version
cc (GCC) 3.4.2 20041017 (Red Hat 3.4.2-6.fc3)

Are you running FC1? If I remember correctly there was an issue back then where the kernel was complied with a different version of gcc than the rest of the distro. The command to use the older gcc version was:

export GCC=gcc32

I'm pretty sure that was the issue, but it's been a while. Google your version of FC with something like

FC? nvidia export gcc=

where FC? would be FC1 or FC2 depending on your version. You'll get the information you need.
