Hello Everyone,
I bought a ThinkPad with an Optimus video and after some research fell into the category of people with useless video cards. However, my eyes are tearing with the integrated video card and I can't seem to manage enough display options to feel comfortable.without a headache.
I have tries xrandr and xgamma for brightness and gamma but I can't seem to find contrast options. Especially in the evening letters are being too light while the overall display is blurry.
I have tried to change the font options (and basically accept all kind of advises on getting comfortable with the integrated video with all display options + fonts + dpi + different font types + themes). I'm using a dark gray/blue theme which works during the day but isn't helpful in the late evening.
I have 2 other notebooks - Lenovo with Windows + Ubuntu and HP with Fedora 13 with Nvidia, the Lenovo with Win + HP are okay, but this ThinkPad is hardcore without some fine tuning. I also have Windows here and the Nvidia seems to work as expected and not tiring, but I don't want to use it unless completely necessary.
