How to (re) start servers?

Hi all.
I'd need to restart my rsyslog server as I added a few bits of mine to its configuration file.
Moreover, I've jsut installed postgresql and cannot find the way to start it and have it started at every boot.
In the past I was usually finding a script in /etc/init.d/ to start/stop/restart all servers, but Fedora 17 seems quite dfferent.
Any hint?

TIA.

OK! OK! RTFM!

Re: How to (re) start servers?

... well, not really!
while the service tool works fine, the ntsysv is not.
In my fresh new isntallation it shows just a bunch of servers (I don't need), but there's no way to have postgresql started at boot.
Please, see the screenshot.

P.S.
Of course I've tried to scroll down the list. The whole list is shown!

Re: How to (re) start servers?

That FAQ you noted in post #1 is very obsolete, you'd do better to use this:

http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/...ide/index.html

and particularly for the services questions:

http://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/..._Services.html
