I've been working on setting up a print server for my home network, it works great! I can print just fine using lpr, and can print from LibreOffice, but cannot print from other KDE applications like Firefox. I went to add a new printer using system-config-printer-kde, but get an error (see attached screenshot for detail) about KCModule not providing an interface. The printer is known to cups (set up using localhost:631), the cups service is running, i've tried 'yum downgrade system-config-printer-kde' to try an older version of the package, my laptop which runs fedora 16 runs the printer config with no problem, live cd of F16 and F17 have no issues. using the gnome system-config-printer is very slow and does not work. in my searches, i notice that this issue seems to pertain to older versions of fedora. looking to avoid a complete reinstall if possible. Attached are a screenshot of the error, and a copy paste of the errors i receive in the terminal when I run 'kcmshell4 system-config-printer-kde'. is there a way i can add a printer via the command line that kde will recognize? i'm not sure what to check next, any help would be greatly appreciated!
