Unhappy Installing FC2 in a TOSHIBA TECRA 8000 Fails

I'm upgrading my laptop from FC1 to FC2 when I start the laptop . The boot process hungs at a point when loading /sbin/loader is trying to disable IRQ11.

I tried to do some investigation why this is happening and an I realized the boot process is trying to disable my PCMCI bus, in fact I checked on my BIOS settings and I realize that IRQ 11 is assigned to the PCMCI bus and the BIOS does not allows me to change it at all

The complete information of my laptop is as follows:

TOSHIBA TECRA 8000
ACPI BIOS 9.30

Any help and Ideas on what I can do will be veru helpful

Why dont you try to disable it in the bios and try to reinstall and when installation completes re-enable it again.

Talking

imdeemvp,

THANK YOU VERY,VERY,VERY MUCH !!!!

I did modified my settings on the BIOS to disable the PCMCI bus and selecting CardBus/16-bit and I was able to upgrade to FC2 with no problems at all.

Now my laptop is working like a charm.
