Mouse cursor issue!

Hi guys

I am new to linux in general, and all the distros I install I am getting same issue...

Whenever I point the mouse on far left on the screen, the pointer jumps to the top, but is still functional...

I tried Ubuntu, Mint and Fedora, on different versions, and the issue is always the same...

I hope someone can help me finding out why this happens and how to fix it... is driving me nuts!

Check the youtube video for better understanding.

Thanks

Re: Mouse cursor issue!

I suggest that you describe your specific hardware (or do a search using your hardware as keywords).

To use Linux effectively, you should get accustomed to using command line commands from a terminal. (Some must be run as root.)
Do you already know how to do this?

Re: Mouse cursor issue!

One shot-in-the dark is to investigate whether the display size that Fedora is using matches the advertised display size (in pixels) for your screen. In the old days, /etc/X11/xorg.conf had the information about display sizes, but I don't know know a good way to find this out in modern Fedoras. Perhaps someone will tell us. The command

Code:
xwininfo -root
will give information about the "root" window on the screen. Compare that to the specs for you physical screen if you can find them.
