Google chrome starts up automatically

Hello guys,

I have fedora 17, xfce desktop environment.
I wonder why does my google-chrome browser start up automatically every time I boot my computer.

I have checked in Settings->Session and Startup, but the program is not listed there.
I tried to remove and re install the browser again, but it doesn't help.

Could someone help to deal with this issue.
Thanks in advance.

Does it start at bootup time ?? or when you actually login ?
If its login, grep for chrome or executable name in all dotfiles under your home directory.

When you logout, do you logout with it open? And do you have 'Save session' checked in the logout dialog?

Is it possible the process isn't dying before you shutdown? I had that problem with firefox on a different OS and it was due to the me not letting the process halt before shutdown.

No, I close the browser when I log out. Also 'Save session' is not checked.

I have checked via task manager and the process is dying before shutdown.

Then you might have a saved session with it open. Make sure you have it closed this time and check 'Save session'.

Or just remove (while you're outside Xfce) ~/.cache/sessions and ~/.cache/xfce4

Thanks very much for your reply. It worked for me!
I cleared folders you have mentioned above and now everything works fine.
