I use Fedora Core Linux v.2.6.5.1-358smp
I need to input Russian letters. In Linux Mandrake I use Ctrl+RightShift in order to switch from English layout to the Russian one. In Fedora Core Linux I can’t do this. I tried usual keys RightCtrl, RightAlt, Ctrl+RightShift and couldn’t switch layouts. RightCtrl and Ctrl+RightShift had no effect, RightAlt leads to small rectangle and no response. I need to press RightAlt again and after that I can continue to work.
I tried to use kcmshell keyboard_layout, but have got
‘QComboBox: changeItem: (comboModel) Index 0 out of range’
and no available layouts in the left window of ‘Configure Keyboard Layout’ despite of having a lot of keyboard layouts in /lib/kbd/keymaps/i386/qwerty/
I’ve used loadkeys and kbd_mode without any usage.
kbd_mode leads ‘You are working in RAW (scancode) mode. When I used ‘kbd_mode –a’ I needed to reboot my computer by Power button.
