nvidia driver probs w/ Xserver on FC3

I'm trying to get my Jaton nVIDIA GeForce MX4000 Video Card, 128MB DDR, Dual VGA, 8X AGP, Model "3DFORCE MX4000Twin" to drive my two 17" flatscreens with either twinview or xinerama. I don't care which at this point. I'm running Fedora Core 3 on an AMD64 using kernel 2.6.9-1.681_FC3. I've built the 64 bit v1.0-6629 nvidia driver and the module seems to load fine. When I startx, x windows seems to freeze on the nvidia logo across both monitors and gnome never loads.
