Linux & Symantec Ghost Image

Can Linux be Ghosted after it has been installed? Similar to what you can do with a Windows installation.

Thanks

Yes - provided you use a recent version of Ghost. I don't know about non-ext filesystems, though.

my boss and i tried it while back when i was dual booting win2kpro and RH9. It pulled the images just fine(both NTFS and my ext*), but my data on my redhat images was toasted. try it out 1st on a non-critcal machine

I use it quite often with a Ghost Cast server and all.

Works like a champ with all Windows, Linux's, FreeBSD's, NetBSD's, etc that I've tried...

Only time I've run into any trouble is when I try to run it against a RAID'd system...

RAID with Ghost is kinda iffy - I've had SCSI RAID5 setups work not at all and IDE RAID0 that worked fine. Symantec says RAID isn't officially supported, so YMMV
