Random Kernel panics

Ever since loading core3 x86_64 it's been very unstable.

i get random kernel panics, oops, and other bad things.

i was getting kernel panic's under heavy IO for a while, but so far by unloading the SATA kernel modules, things have been a little better.

Also seems that software raid is a bit unstable on x86_64. anyone else experencing md problems? Speciffically on an Abit AV8 Motherboard? (runs KT600/K8T800 South bridge)

here's an example of a random error:

Trying to fix it up, but a reboot is needed

well, after experimenting, the culprate seems to be the supporting kernel modules for sata_via; libata, sd_mod and/or scsi_mod. My gut says it's probably libata. When these are loaded, i get the random problems described above. without, seems stable. (so far) Anyone else noticed this?

still experimenting to see if i can get sd_mod and scsi_mod at least to load and be stable.
