Unhappy Spatial view doesn't keep the same view

When I open up my home directory, the view keeps scrolling down to where .gimp-2.0 icon is , instead of remembering my previous view. That is true even if I moved .gimp-2.0 directory elsewhere.

What kind of bug that makes .gimp-2.0 so special? I don't find anything special setting in the icon property.

To get around this annoying behavior, I have to move .gimp-2.0 icon to the top of the view so that the icons at the top are visible when I open my home directory by double-clicking my home directory icon on Fedora Core 2 desktop.

I enabled Show Hidden Files in Preference Dialog, so, there are a lot of hidden files are visible. Also, I arranged to have important icons grouped at the top-left corner and the rest are a long straight vertical line extending down beyond visible boundary.

In fact, .gimp-2.0 icon was not special. It is now scrolling to somewhere else when I opened the window. It seems like as long as the window is not big enough to contain all icons, this weird behavior will happen, making the Spatial View practically useless for me now.

Note: I implied that I was using Manual in Arrange Items setting in the context-sensitive menu.
