So did an update of my files using yum, and picked up around 10 or so updates - no new programs. The problem is i now get an error message each time I try to get into Yum. I had tried to reset my language to EN_CA (Canadian), now it says my default language is not availible and defaults to US. The fllowing is the error I get when trying to run Yum:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/bin/yum", line 7, in ?
yummain.main(sys.argv[1:])
File "/usr/share/yum-cli/yummain.py", line 34, in main
locale.setlocale(locale.LC_ALL, '')
File "/usr/lib/python2.3/locale.py", line 381, in setlocale
return _setlocale(category, locale)
locale.Error: unsupported locale setting
in terminal it also gives me some serious Perl errors:
perl: warning: Setting locale failed.
perl: warning: Please check that your locale settings:
LANGUAGE = (unset),
LC_ALL = (unset),
LANG = "en_US.UTF-8"
are supported and installed on your system.
perl: warning: Falling back to the standard locale ("C").
Please can someone help...tell me I didn't overrock the boat! I truely now have a fully working OS that I enjoy, and would really like to get it back up and working properly
