problem open lotus approach file store in fedora from winxp

I am new to fedora, and just set up fedora to link with my winxp, I copy my lotus approach data files to a share folder in fedora. I start my lotus approach, and open my data files stored in fedora, although lotus approach can open the files but it dispaly a message saying that it is read only.

My samba security is set to user, I can browse the lotus files stored in fedora, can somebody tell me why it is a read only file, I use winxp to check the propeties of the files and it is archive file.

So you're creating a file share over a network?

On the menu, use System Settings > Server Settings > Samba.
