Change KDE View Profile default

Is there a way to change the default view profile KDE uses in Konqueror? I go to Settings/Load View Profile and select Midnight Commander... when I close the window and open it again it defaults back to File Management- any way to make this permanent?

Yes, there is a way.

When you click on an icon for Konqueror, it also specifies what profile to use.

For the icon that launches Konqueror in the Web Browser profile, the command given is

kfmclient openProfile webbrowsing

or for File Management

kfmclient openProfile filemanagement

I believe, if you edit the properties of your icon so it gives this command

kfmclient openProfile midnightcommander

you should then get the midnight commander (I haven't tried it, but I presume it will work)

Or you can create a new aplication link with the above command.
